Have a wonderful Thanksgiving from Mike and Julie.
I want to take this moment to send congrats to Mike for losing over 50 pounds so far.
I hasn't been easy but he is sticking with it until he reaches his goal.
Before
After (so far)
Have an Above the Norm turkey day everyone!

  1. Wow holy crap!!! You can really see the difference there!! That's the first time I've truly noticed how much weight I've lost. And I'm leaning back in that 2nd pic, so I'm probably thinner than what shows! WOO!

  3. You look great since Andy and Kristen's wedding. You have inspired me to do Weight Watchers where I have already lost weight. I'm on my way to hitting my goal. The holidays will be tough but we have to hang in there. Congrats again on what you have lost so far.

  4. Man! That's crazy awesome!!! I don't have any doubts. Reading Mike's writing, I realize this guy has a lot on the ball--now he's healthy and happy which means we can expect more awesome posts! When he decides to do something--boom!

  7. Mike and Julie-first of all I wanted to stop over here and wish the both of you a tremendous Thanksgiving with your friends and family!!!!

second of all Mike I want to say you look great and congratulations -you are well on the road now and I know that you will be successful in whatever your ultimate goal for weight loss is!!!

I was lucky-my weight loss came about the "cheap" way-haha -all of a sudden-really out of the blue last year about July or August of 2008 food started not tasting as good to me-before this I was a "comfort style food eater" the eating of food especially breads, pasta cheeses -Mexican -really all of the fattening types of food actually made me feel good-until looking in the mirror of course!!!

I had gone from six two and 165 pounds in high school to six two and 255 pounds at my heaviest -thats almost 100 pounds-or adding a grade schooler size person to my weight!! Now I am at six two and 195 and much happier -the only thing is i really "lucked out" for the way it happened with me -still dont know what it was -the doc thought maybe lung cancer at first because the weight loss had been so dramatic and within 4 months -like 10 pounds a month but it has stabilised now for a long time and needless to say it wasn't lung cancer !!

I don't think the average person who has never had weight probs realizes how hard it is to even lose 5 pounds much less anymore than that-so again congratualtions!!

all the best and Happy Thanksgiving to both of you!!!

  9. Thank you everyone for your kind words! It definitely has been a battle, and I've fallen off the wagon so to speak in the past month or so. But I haven't gained any weight back, just haven't lost any. Been to busy with work. I hope to get back to losing more weight soon.

Hope you all had a GREAT Turkey Day!!! Best wishes to everyone!
