Hmmm...I'm turning into such a skeptic it's shocking. A year ago I would've been all over this saying, "OMG! Wicked cool!"
But now I'm trying to figure out which techniques were used...or, because the sun was on the right there, did it play in somehow? (Like bounce off the stone and catch the image of someone walking behind him and warp it to create that effect?)
Also, because he added music, had the effects on there (like the circle around the ghost, along with the pop-up comment...this is someone who knows a thing or two about video editing.) If it was just the plain old video submitted I would probably be less skeptical.
I will say it is pretty neat. And it being a shorter ghost than I would expect at Stonehenge...interesting!
I wasn't too sure about this one either for some of the same reasons you pointed out. I wondered if it was a reflection of a person from the stones and clever editing. That is why I posted it. But, his reaction did seem real and got a jump reaction out of me, lol. ~Julie~
I sure would have liked it a whole lot more if it didn't end like that. Who would just cut off? I'd like to see the complete tape.
Just looked like a reflection on a man bending down to get his things after touring the place and as he stood up the change of light was making him solid...therefore...end of frame.
The whole picture is blurry, so surely it's movement and perhaps blurring of a light or shadow. I think it would be wickedly cool if GHI went there and spent a night...maybe the winter solstice--that'd be cool. I'd be curious to see if compasses or EMF meters go nuts too.
I think this one is a dud. He reacted way to quickly to it. It almost looks solid enough that I would have thought for a second it was just another person...it is tourist attraction after all. The fact that he was instantly frightened...makes me think its totally fake.
Plus if you notice the editing skips a beat just before the "ghost" appears. Something fishy going on there. And yeah...he doesn't show the after effects...also a bit suspicious.

ReplyDeletewhy did he stop the video there? it would have been great to see filming continue.

Just my two cents!
Thanks everyone for your comments. The popular feeling is that it is not real.
