This subject is my new favorite. I didn't used to give UFOs any time of day. I've seen quite a few in my lifetime, but I've never let myself stop and consider what they might be. I have a lot of theories, but I think I'm at a time in my life where I'd like to look into it more. We can't possibly be alone in the universe, but the question is one of physics--just how does one travel hundreds or thousands of light years? Is there a universe we can't see but can enter in and out of ours? Is there intelligent life below the sea that visits us? Does the future come to check on their history? So many ideas... My father was in the Pacific Asian Fleet during WWII and Korean Wars. He said that several times they were visited and chased by flying discs and he had no doubt about the phenomenon. I wondered as a kid why my logic-minded father read Erich von Daniken's take on "Chariots of the Gods" and I realized he was seeking answers that worked for him just like I now seek answers about the ghost phenomenon.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love your family stories and the new picture is nice too. Did your Father ever find the answers he was looking for? I have always felt that it would be selfish of us to think that we are the only living beings in this vast universe. There are just too many simular sightings all over the world to just write it off as nothing. There are so many more questions to be answered, like yours on how they can travel so many light years, and other questions as well. I find the UFO subject fasinating. and looking forward to hearing more.
ReplyDeleteInteresting videos. I do think the government should declassify anything that doesn't jeopardize our national security, but asking Obama to do this might prove useless. He was a junior senator for a couple years and now he's been the president for 3 months. Whatever classified documents there are they've been classified for a LONG time, since way before Obama's time. I think part of the problem with asking the government to declassify information is that we don't know who is hiding the information in the first place, so we never put pressure on the right people to do so.
ReplyDeleteThat being said, other nations are starting to declassify their UFO documents, so maybe it's not completely inconceivable. I'm just not going to hold my breath.
There is so much to this phenomenon that is wonderful and mysterious -I do not know if we will ever get to the bottom of it-Some UFO reports get awfully close to poltergeist/ghost type events happening in them. One thing I will say off the top of my head is that after being interested in it since I was a child is that I think it is a mix of things-I think some reports could perhaps be real aliens-maybe some time travelers-and then of course I have always thought Vallee's ultraterrestrial hypothesis is great -thanks for the great article!!
ReplyDeleteIn the case speaking, I have always thought that there are people or other beings that live in another World separate from ours. I'm sure that our Planet is visited and inspected by other beings from another World. I am also sure that the US Goverment is hiding what they know and will not tell the American people just what is really going on. We just can't be the only ones that are here. They are much more advanced than we are, and always have been.
ReplyDeleteLet's take for example the Pyramids of Egypt. How could a people way back then, build such a magnificent structure that had stones fitted together within thousnads of an inch? Where would they get the tools to do all this? How, also, could they lift those stones to such a height? I tend to think that they had some "help" along the way. But, just who was it? Was it beings from another World? There are even "markings" on stone that depict beings from another world visiting our planet. Maybe this is something that we will never know . . . or will we?
