Thanks so much for posting this Julie-indeed a very fascinating and intricate case!! I do think something happened to those men in the Sitgreaves forest-didnt like all six of them pass lie detectors? the question as always is exactly what happened? I do so love mysteries-best to you and Mike as always!!
ReplyDeleteAlien abductions are intriguing, but his case was especially interesting since his friends apparently witnessed his taking and he was gone for such a long period of time and disoriented. It'll probably never be solved, but in a case like this, I'd love to have a sit down talk with the guy and for myself determine if he sounds authentic or confused. I'd probably know a few minutes into it whether to believe him or not. I don't think he had a lot of reason to go public with this, seemed a bit hesitant to do it, but then it snowballed into a lot of profits for movies/books, so you wonder if he stuck to a story that began as a prank and couldn't get out of it, or if he actually had something extraordinary happen to him. I think if this happened to me, I'd probably want immediately to get witnesses together, a really well respected reporter, and let the reporter guide the health care professionals and others to completely document me instead of having it done piecemeal. This would lead more credence to it having it supervised by one person who witnesses the entire investigation.
ReplyDeleteI don't remember hearing about this story after it happened. I saw the movie when it came out, then took an interest. He seems legit when talking about the events of the night as well as his friends. I would also want everything well documented if it happened to me.....but I hope it doesn't!
